A sleepy seaside town which is the gateway to exotic East Bali, where the old rituals and traditions
are still strictly observed.
In contrast to Southern tourist centers, like Kuta, Legian and Sanur, there is very little night life,
but the people who visit Candidasa are more than happy with the relaxing atmosphere, slow pace
and naturally friendly people. Our staff love to take you to their own small villages to see how the Balinese really live. There are also no pesty street sellers in Candidasa.
Apart from its close proximity to great diving, Candidasa can also offer many local activities. Situated between picturesque rolling hills the area is perfect for trekking and mountain biking. Village, cultural tours and Hindu ceremonies with traditional dance and music performances.
The nearby ancient village of Tenganan is famed for it's wild ceremonies and geringsing - double ikat weaving.
